The Board Chair of TWIF NEWS says his news outlet will now, more than ever before, provide its audience with much more professional and robust news pieces.
Wanka’a Regis Che made the promise on Sunday January 26, during a gathering to celebrate the second anniversary of TWIF NEWS.
The news platform which was launched on January 27, 2018, has for two years now served Cameroon and the world with intriguing news articles.
This year’s anniversary was celebrated one day ahead of time, because the date of the anniversary proper falls on a traditional ghost town Monday, which would mar the event.
Speaking on the symbolic nature of TWIF NEWS’ two years of existence, the Board Chair said: “it was a day worth celebrating, because within this time, we’ve had a lot of successes, and of course challenges which were overcome because of the commitment of the team to inform society.”
Over the last few months, TWIF NEWS had been lagging in terms of news production and dissemination. The head of the organ extended apologies to the public for the breach in news flow.
“We sincerely apologise for the breakdown in disseminating news to the public. It wasn’t meant to punish our audience, but rather to enable us garner resources and apt skills to make them proud of TWIF NEWS, which is one of the best in Cameroon.”
As TWIF NEWS clocks two, one of its measure resolutions is not to stall, but keep serving its news hungry audience with credible, balanced and objective information.
