FIFA Ranking : Cameroon Stagnant, Algeria On The Rise

After the international break, FIFA has unveiled its traditional ranking of the best football nations in the world.

First, for several months in Africa, Senegal remains king of Africa despite its decision to play no match at the last international window. After a huge jump in the previous ranking due to its victory in the African Cup of Nations, Algeria continues to progress. This time, the Fennecs grapple 2 places that is from 40th to 38th place.

The same goes for Morocco, who also moved 2 up on this ranking. Note also the great breakthrough of Djibouti, The African Revelation thanks to its good performances in the preliminary round of the World Cup (despite elimination). They are the best progressed team of the continent gaining 9 places to position them at the 189th position worldwide.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have dropped by one spot in the FIFA ranking for September, sitting 34th on the ranking table.However, in spite of the drop by a spot, Nigeria still occupy the third position on the continent behind Senegal and Tunisia

The Indomitable Lions still maintain the 8th at the African level.

1 – Senegal (20th World)

2 – Tunisia (29th)

3 – Nigeria (34)

4 – Algeria (38)

5 – Morocco (39)

6 – Egypt (49)

7 – Ghana (51)

8 – Cameroon (53)

9 – DR Congo (55)

10 – Ivory Coast (56)

At the Global Scene , Belgium is first ahead of France and Brazil.
