Authorities of the University of Buea, UB have programmed new dates for the release of second semester results, resit exams and the admission of students into the institution.

According to a communique signed by the University’s Registrar, Professor Ndip Roland Ndip on Friday August 23, the second semester results which were due to be released this Friday have been deferred to Tuesday August 27, 2019.

Meanwhile, registration for resit examinations, the communique said, is scheduled from August 27-30, and will be written from September 3-10.

Meantime, admission for undergraduate programmes will now last until September 15, while UB will open its gates for postgraduate applicants on Wednesday September 28, 2019.

It is unclear the reason for the shift in dates, but Friday’s release came after the 77th Senate meeting held on August 22 at the institution’s Amphitheater 250.

Some students have expressed discontent over the choice of the time for the resit given that it allegedly coincides with a separatist imposed lockdown in Anglophone Cameroon which many say might hold from September 2-6 and September 9-13 this year.
