Cameroonian Ligue 1 and Premier League players have had various spells at the start of the season in France and England. Harold Moukoudi with Saint-Etienne and Jean Charles Castelletto in Brest, have discovered the elite of French football.

Harold Moukoudi, little known to the Cameroonian sports public, is announced as one of the biggest attractions of Ligue 1 this season. At the end of his contract in June 2019, the colossal 22-year-old Franco-Cameroonian defender signed on 29 March 2019 for As Saint-Etienne.

He made his first steps under the Saint-Etienne tunic last Saturday, from the first day of the 2019-2020 season against Dijon. The former Le Havre player is then tenured in central defense alongside his captain Loic Perrin. Strong in duels, he actively participates in the victory of the Greens who win on the score of two goals to one.

Cameroon players in the league, swing into winning mode

Moreover, the Stade Brestois of the Cameroon international Jean-Charles Castelletto, who found the Ligue 1 six years after having left, could not do better than a draw against Toulouse Saturday night (1-1 ).

Stade Brestois led the score for most of the game before an equaliser in the very last moments — an end of the game that will leave regrets but Stade Brestois showed a seductive face for their return to the elite. Titularized in central hinge, Jean-Charles Castelletto made a correct match.

In Nice, Adrien Tameze and Ignatius Ganago were holders from the beginning of the match in front of Amiens. The midfielder Nice made an interesting start, but as the game progressed it became more and more difficult to keep up the pace. He does not clear the ball fast enough on Akolo’s goal. As for the striker, he has always been available on the right side. But, he was not successful. It must be said that he seemingly did not systematically make the right choices. Too individualistic, he has nevertheless created several clear opportunities.

Ambroise Oyogo Biloto, Alternate

On this first day of Ligue 1, Rennes by James Lea Siliki ended the curse of the first game of the season and won three valuable points in Montpellier (1-0). Towards the end of the game, midfielder James Lea Siliki, author of a good game, gave way to defender Franco-Cameroonian Gerzino Nyamsi.

Always on the Rennes side, Senegal’s Mbaye Niang was replaced by Jordan Siebatcheu in the 72nd minute. It is from the bench of the replacement of Montpellier that Ambroise Oyogo Biloto attended this defeat.

Stéphane Bahoken of Angers also started his Ligue 1 season with a 3-1 win over Bordeaux. Substitute at the beginning of the match, the Cameroon international did not participate in the goal scoring moments.

Bordeaux side, the Franco-Cameroonian Aurélien Tchouameni was poor performer in midfield. He just was not able to win in midfield.

Tristan Dingomé, very stirring. At the velodrome stage, Reims won the first leg against Marseille (2-0), partly by the fault of the Cameroon international Tristan Dingomé. Very agitated, it was he who initiated the first actions of his team (2nd and 13th).

Very available between the lines, the attacker was a real poison for the opponent defenders. The accuracy of his passes and his important role have put the OM under pressure. He delivers a marvelous pass to Dia on the opener of the score of his team.

A little dull, he is replaced by Mbuku, in the 72nd minute. Pre-selected by Clarence Seedorf on the eve of AFCON 2019, he missed the Egyptian meeting because of an injury contracted during the internship of indomitable Lions in Spain.

In the closing match of this first day of Ligue 1, PSG, without Eric-Maxim Choupo Moting, substitute, easily won the score of 3-0 against Nimes. The club, champion of France in title, seeks a base for his Cameroon international, which was very average last season.

In the Premier League season opener, Liverpool dominated the just promoted Norwich City (4-1), Joel Matip warmed up for much of the second half without stepping on the pitch.

It was through the small screen that Gaétan Bong witnessed the victory of his club Brighton on Watford – Brighton (3-0).

Finally, it is at the very end of the match that Georges Kevin Nkoudou made his entry, to participate in the victory of Tottenham on the promoted Aston Villa (3-1).
